2. WHAT IS A COOKIE?

Cookies are small text files stored on a device through a browser when a website is visited. Cookies may be used to operate the site, maintain a session, remember preferences, measure performance, or—where permission is given—conduct marketing activities.

Local storage, pixels, tags, SDKs, and similar technologies may perform functions comparable to cookies. References to cookies in this Policy include these technologies where appropriate.

3. HOW ARE COOKIES CLASSIFIED?

3.1. By duration

  • Session cookies: Deleted when the browser session ends.
  • Persistent cookies: Remain on the device for a defined period or until deleted by the User.

3.2. By the party placing them

  • First-party cookies: Placed directly by the Randeu domain.
  • Third-party cookies: Placed by third parties providing services to Randeu.

3.3. By purpose

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the site to operate, maintain security, enable sign-in, perform load balancing, deliver a service explicitly requested by the User, and store cookie preferences.

They are not used for marketing. They may be used without explicit consent to the extent strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the User or where another lawful processing condition under KVKK applies.

Functional cookies

These cookies enable non-essential personalization, such as remembering language, region, display, or similar preferences. They are enabled with the User's explicit consent unless another valid legal basis applies.

Performance and analytics cookies

These cookies help measure visits, traffic sources, page interactions, and technical performance. The resulting data may not always be anonymous. They are enabled with the User's explicit consent unless another valid legal basis applies.

Advertising and marketing cookies

These cookies may be used to measure visitor behavior, build interest profiles, evaluate campaign performance, and show personalized advertising. They are not enabled unless the User has expressly consented.

4. DATA THAT MAY BE PROCESSED THROUGH COOKIES

Depending on the cookie, the following data may be processed:

  • IP address and approximate location;
  • device, operating system, and browser information;
  • cookie or device identifiers;
  • session and authentication information;
  • visited pages, clicks, and browsing activity;
  • visit time, duration, and referring page;
  • language, region, and interface preferences;
  • error, security, and performance logs; and
  • advertising and campaign interactions where permission is given.

Cookies are not intended to collect names, surnames, or dates of birth directly. However, online identifiers associated with a signed-in User may constitute personal data when linked with account information.

5. PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASES

Cookie categoryMain purposesLegal basis
Strictly necessarySecurity, session management, service delivery, network management, storing preferencesNecessary for entering into or performing a contract; legal obligation; legitimate interests that do not prejudice fundamental rights, or technical necessity for the requested service
FunctionalRemembering language and interface preferences; non-essential personalizationExplicit consent unless another valid processing condition applies
Performance and analyticsMeasuring traffic, use, and performance; improving the serviceExplicit consent unless another valid processing condition applies
Advertising and marketingCampaign measurement, profiling, and personalized advertisingExplicit consent

Cookies requiring consent are not activated until the User makes an affirmative and active choice. Access to the service is not made conditional on acceptance of non-essential cookies through a cookie wall.

6. COOKIE PREFERENCES AND CONSENT

On the first visit, the cookie preference panel should present the following options with equal prominence and clarity:

  • Accept all
  • Reject all
  • Manage preferences

Non-essential categories are disabled by default. The User may choose separately for each category. Pre-ticked boxes, silence, continued scrolling, or mere use of the site do not by themselves constitute explicit consent.

The User may reopen the cookie preference panel at any time to withdraw consent or change preferences. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

7. COOKIE INVENTORY

Every cookie or similar technology actually used by Randeu must be listed below. The cookie name, provider, purpose, duration, and party information must correspond exactly to the live technical scan.

> Required pre-publication check: Complete this inventory using the cookies found on the live system. Remove any unused analytics or advertising category from both this Policy and the preference panel.

This table should be reviewed whenever a new cookie or technology is introduced, a provider changes, or a retention period is updated.

8. THIRD PARTIES AND DATA TRANSFERS

Depending on the categories permitted by the User, cookie data may be shared with analytics, security, hosting, performance measurement, or advertising providers. The specific third parties and transfer purposes must be listed in the cookie inventory.

Where data is transferred outside Türkiye, the transfer must rely on a mechanism permitted under Article 9 of KVKK. Depending on the circumstances, this may include an adequacy decision, appropriate safeguards, standard contracts, or another statutory transfer condition. Where explicit consent is relied upon, the User is separately informed before the transfer.

9. BROWSER AND DEVICE SETTINGS

Users may also delete or block cookies through browser or device settings. The location of these controls varies by browser and version. Please consult the relevant browser's current help pages:

  • Google Chrome: Privacy and security settings
  • Mozilla Firefox: Privacy and security settings
  • Apple Safari: Privacy settings
  • Microsoft Edge: Privacy, search, and services settings

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent sign-in, security, or certain core website functions from operating correctly.

10. RETENTION PERIODS

The retention period for each cookie is stated in the cookie inventory. Cookies are not retained longer than necessary for their stated purpose. Session cookies generally expire at the end of the session; persistent cookies expire automatically after their defined period or may be deleted earlier by the User.

Cookie preference records may be retained for a reasonable period to demonstrate the User's choice and avoid repeatedly requesting consent. The User may periodically be asked to provide preferences again.

11. RIGHTS UNDER KVKK

Under Article 11 of KVKK, you may ask whether your personal data is processed, request information about processing, learn the purposes and recipients of processing, request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, request deletion or destruction where the legal conditions are met, object to adverse results arising from automated analysis, and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

12. CONTACTING THE DATA CONTROLLER

You may submit questions about cookies or requests concerning your KVKK rights through the following channels:

  • Written applications: KIRKKONAKLAR MAH. 329 CAD. PALA NO:12, UNIT NO:9, ÇANKAYA/ANKARA, TÜRKİYE
  • Email: [email protected]

Applications are answered as soon as possible according to their nature and no later than thirty days.

13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

This Policy may be updated to reflect changes in technologies, service providers, or applicable law. The current version is published on www.randeu.com and the last-updated date is revised accordingly.
